What data we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google via Clerk (our authentication provider). We store this alongside the gig history, ratings, and notes you add to your account.

How we use your data

  • To display your gig history and stats to you
  • To let friends you follow see your public gig activity
  • To match you with other users who attended the same events
  • To send in-app notifications about shared gigs and social interactions

Who can see your data

Your gig history is visible to other WasThr users who follow you. Your email address is never shared with other users. If you share an event link, the recipient can see that you attended that event.

Third-party services

WasThr uses the following third-party services which may process your data:

  • Clerk — authentication (sign-in, session management)
  • Supabase — database hosting (data stored in Australia)
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (notification emails only)
  • Spotify — artist images and metadata (if you connect your Spotify account)

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings — no email required. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Your data export

You can download a complete copy of your gig history at any time from your account settings. Exports are provided in JSON and CSV format.

Cookies and local storage

WasThr uses cookies and browser local storage for authentication sessions and user preferences (such as whether you have dismissed certain prompts). No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. All of these actions are available directly from your account settings. For anything not covered there, use the feedback widget in the app or reply to any email we send you.

Contact
